NEW YORK CITY — The National ATM Council is inviting industry members and supporters to take part in a cocktail-hour fundraiser reception here on March 20 in honor of Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D.-NY).

NATMC executive director Bruce Wayne Renard reported that Rep. Maloney has repeatedly demonstrated her understanding of the important role played by the independent and retail automated teller machine industry. She presently chairs the Subcommittee on Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship and Capital Markets, of the House Committee on Financial Services in the House of Representatives. She is Vice-Chair of the House Joint Economic Committee, on which she is the Ranking House Democrat, and serves as a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.

“Congresswoman Maloney has gone to the mat for our industry on a number of occasions, helping us fight the scourge of unjustified bank account closures/denials plaguing America’s ATM providers,” Renard recalled. “This reception is the opportunity to show our industry’s sincere thanks and support in return.”

The event will be held at Patrizia’s of Manhattan, 462-466 2nd Ave.(2nd Ave. between 26th and 27th Streets), on Wednesday, March 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. (Eastern time). Renard reported that this festive occasion will combine great food and drinks with an exclusive opportunity to meet Congresswoman Maloney and leading New York and New Jersey independent ATM providers/suppliers.

“Please bring a personal check as your contribution to Carolyn’s campaign fund  for $500 (or as close to that amount as your resources will permit), made out to: Maloney for Congress,” Renard urged. Company checks are not permitted. Renard may be reached at:

“I will also need you to complete the attached Donor Form to submit along with your campaign donation,” he added.

“If you are unable to attend, please send your check to me, which we will bundle with our group’s other contributions and present the pack to Congresswoman Maloney at the fundraiser. This is very important for all our ATM businesses and livelihoods,” Renard emphasized. “Please show up and show your appreciation and strong support for Carolyn.”

Renard urged everyone wishing to support this initiative to confirm their participation so the organizers will have a solid headcount.
